You can now upload pictures. Go to http://election.villagersonline.com/upload/pictures/ and upload whatever you'd like.
Right now, we don't have anything special you can do with pictures, though. They just sit there. In the future, there will be specialized pages just for posting art, as well as pages for posting pictures of yourself. For now, you'll have to do it manually using your blog. There are two ways to do it.
The simplest way to do it is to just upload a picutre and then cut-n-paste the link address into your blog. In your blog, you can discuss whatever you think is interesting about the picture or art.
Very soon now, we'll have a feature in the blogs where web addresses you type will be auto-converted to links in your blog. But for now, the address will just show up as text. (If you know HTML, you can write HTML in your blog, and turn it into a link.)
The other way to use your blog to post artwork is to just put an IMG tag in your blog. In this case, you entire blog would look something like this:
<img src="http://election.villagersonline.com/users/russ/pictures/myPicture.jpg">
This will include the picture inline into your blog. Of course, you'll need to change the HTML address to the one where your picture actually resides. |
