I am home and happy to have a left shoulder that doesn't throb and hurt and I can 'feel' my left arm again without all the dead arm tingling!
My neck is extremely sore and swollen and I have a lot of difficulty swallowing. I have the constant feel of being choked and that is not fun for a claustrophobic person. I am weaning myself off the morphine while continuing the other medications, including the nerve repairing medications, per the doctor's orders. I have five more days before I'm allowed to drive so I am going a bit stir crazy. You can only watch so much day time television before you lose your mind. Derek asked me last night if I hadn't been watching the same show the previous night and it came as a surprise to me that I had already seen it. So, yeah the drugs are a problem. I sleep a lot and try to sit at the computer for a few short stints, but my head pounds pretty hard when I get up and around. I'm trying to walk a bit and have lost about 25 pounds in the ordeal to date. So that is a nice side effect.
Thanks to the folks who brought flowers and sent cards and especially those who came to visit and pray. I don't even know who some of you are because I was apparently quite loopy and sleepy. :)
It means a lot to be uplifted to God's hands by God's people. I hope to see you soon, once the doctor looses the restrictions on what I can and can't do. Thanks again for your prayers and your love.
