I'm thankful for Kathy, Justin, and Derek. As the years go by, I realize more and more how good God has been to me in my family. I love them. I have seen so much of Christ in them.
I'm thankful for the Village. I'm thankful that God has surrounded me with an amazing community that loves and cares and speaks truth. I'm thankful for the richness of the artists, poets, and musicians that make worship a deeper and more intimate time with God. I'm especially thankful for Eric. Thankful for his heart of love and compassion and for his desire to call us to be better than we are. I'm thankful that he wrestles in front of us so we can peek in and see his heart for God.
I'm thankful for the broader community of the church that supports us and enfolds us and calls us to walk beside.
I'm thankful for the Muse. God brought us to the right place at the right time.
I'm thankful for my weakness. God shines out of the cracks that I spend so much time trying to cover up. I'm thankful for shame. It has helped to expose my sins and allows me to find the path toward repentence.
I'm thankful for the Bible. I'm falling in love with it more and more as I explore its depth and beauty.
I'm thankful for not knowing the future. It makes me trust or fear and most days I choose to trust.
I'm thankful for Jesus.
I'm thankful that I am the product of a long line of Godly parents, grandparents, etc. What an amazing heritage I have been given.
I'm thankful that God lets me see. And that He lets me see people walk out of darkness into light. I'm thankful for being able to see their courage as they choose the path that leads to life.
I'm thankful for days of feasting and celebration when we remember what God has done and do away with the Adkins diet. I am filling my plate with buttered yams, turkey, stuffing, and green bean casserole. And I'm eating at least two pieces of Mom's pumpkin pie.
I am thankful! |
