I love learning new things. I hope that never goes away. I like that there is always a bit of information out there that if you have it you 'succeed', but if you don't have it you flop around like a steelhead trout on the Fish Ladder in Grand Rapids. I like chasing down the elusive bit of data that makes a plan come together. I always feel sorry for people in the technoworld. There are bazillions of bits of data and you have to ask the exact right question to get a precise answer. The whole art of living is coming up with that exact question. Refining your Google search is an art form, like choreographing a giant electron dance. You need helpers. My kid shows me one thing and Eric shows me something else and my frustration turns to joy. I finally posted pictures to the website. I know it isn't a big deal to the rest of the world, but it rocks for me. Two little pieces of information was all I needed, after months and months of failed attempts.

Oh, and now that I know, keep your eyes peeled.

Rod

What a beautiful place!
And, by the way, I looked for Bob's Big Boy statues, thinking how cool it would be to have one in my front yard. The one I found was $500. No -- I wouldn't have put it in the front yard. My housemates would never let me.

Michigan is beautiful, isn't it!?!?! Next time we'll drive up to meet you for lunch or something!?!?!

On Monday I had to stop for three deer crossing by my house! And then I ate venison for dinner on Tuesday. That's a weird feeling!

I am glad you two had a good time.

Hi Adrienne,

I intended to call you before we left to see if we could hang out, but I didn't. I wish I had. It would have been good to see you again face to face. I'll be back in February around Valentine's Day so perhaps we can meet then.

Michigan is gorgeous. Or at least it was where we were up the coast. So much lush green grass and so many trees. Someone told me that over 80% of the trees had once been cut down for lumber, but that Michigan actually has more trees now than it did then. We saw wild turkeys and raccoons and one fake deer. Ooh, and a couple of skunks. Not good...

Hopefully I'll see you in February.

Rod
