I had a chest x-ray yesterday as part of the preparations for Tuesday's neck surgery. I called early today to cancel an appointment with my family doctor scheduled for tomorrow since I have to go out of town, only to be told she wanted to see me today because of an 'abnormal chest x-ray' result. When I went in during her lunch hour, she informed me that they had found a small tumor like lump in my left lung and that she wants me to have a CT scan just as soon as possible after the neck surgery to determine what it might be. She doesn't have a previous scan or x-ray to see if it something that has been there a long time and is probably benign or if it is something new and scarier. This year of Rod dealing with his health is not what I hoped it might be. This is one more thing to choose not to stress over and to instead covet your prayers about.
