The sun is shining in Grand Rapids and I am taking credit for it. I told them that in Tucson we have so much sunshine that we would allow Michiganders (?) to 'glean' it. So far it looks like they are taking me up on my offer. The prediction before I came was clouds and snow and the first day I was here it snowed a bit, but since then all is sunny and bright. Okay, it is crispy cold at night and I'm glad I brought my jacket, but beyond that I am enjoying the weather. My Home Missions meetings are over. They were very long and enjoyable. I didn't have much time around them, but I did enjoy hanging out with some really cool people over meals and coffee.

My presentations of The Game have gone well. There is some genuine interest and we'll see where it goes. I also stopped at something called the "Institute of Christian Worship" and gave them copies of some of our cd's, poetry chapbooks, and a copy of the game. They responded by handing me applications for grants we could apply for to help the broader church learn what we have learned. It sounds interesting and they seemed genuinely excited about Village worship.

Last night I took my three nieces and their boyfriends and fiances out to dinner. It was very cool to catch up on their lives and meet some of their friends. Tomorrow I am going to go to the church of a pastor friend of mine in the morning, hang out at Rob Bell's church in the evening and later at night go to a place called E5one ministries where my niece's boyfriend is the visual arts/sound tech guy.

Monday I stuff this large body into airplane seats and head home. Want me to bring some snow?

Rod
