Subject: Not so random thoughts

I am waiting for an algebra exam I do not feel ready for. That Got me to praying about it, and soon my prayer branched off into several different directions and layers. Julie asked me a few weeks ago how I address God when I pray. Usually I address him as Lord, occasionally as Dad, but that does not feel right. I am working on that. Should we not call God by a more intimate name? After all, he Dad to me. That I keep him a little at a distance by calling him Lord is not really what he wants. It pleases him when I call him Dad, and that is after all what I desire. To please him like a son desires to please his father. And he wants what is best for me. He really loves me. When Isreal went to war, and God delivered them, or when he blessed Israel, he often did so in ways that they did not expect. He always did so in a manner that gave them the greatest benifit on many levels of thier lives. I can see in my own life, how God is guiding my footsteps. Not because I am living a rightous life, but because I am trusting him. When I do not feel like I am trusting him, and still call out to him, that is trust. Greater faith is required there than when I feel like I am trusting him. Off to class I go now, with a new confidience. God is with me, wether I can feel him or not. The moment I started praying, I knew he was, and I know he is now.
