Subject: Prayer time

Hi all! I am going to be in town soon for Coleen's wedding. While I am in Tucson, I have asked some of my friends to pray with me for my spinal cord injury. I have not given up hope that God will bring me healing. I don’t know whether that will be through guiding doctors and researchers to a cure, or if he has preserved my spinal cord and it is simply still in shock, or if something even more mystical may occur. But whatever happens, I know that he is still with me as “Emmanuel, God with us.” A few weeks ago, I was browsing through the Bible and came across this passage: “Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no longer. For now I will break off his yoke from you, and burst your bonds apart.” (Nahum 1:12b-13) It seemed that God was speaking to me through these words. My goal for the time is just to lift our hopes for healing up to God, and to be guided by the Holy Spirit in what to pray for me. At 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, we will be getting together at the Seneca house. If you feel called to join us, please do. If you can't come, please join us in spirit by praying for me on that day.
