I just wanted to keep the community up to date on what I've been up to recently. Some of you know more than others. I wanted to keep the rest of you clear since you are part of my Village family.

On March 31 of this year I came home from my last day working at Sam Levitz. I had been working there since June of last year. I recently got promoted to delivery driver in January. I never did get a consistent helper to work with. This combined with other related factors drove me into an addiction to exhaustively working myself hurting my health. I almost collapsed several times the last few days I worked there. I just always held out that things would change if only I would stay on and "tough it out".

At this time I remain unemployed although I'm seeking employment in a few companies. I am considering leaving Tucson and looking to relocate to possibly California or somewhere that would be a change to what I'm working with here in Tucson. I will not join the military. I would like to work for an airline where I would get to travel to different cities. I've considered training as a travel agent for the benefits of the travel.

As a military brat for 18-19 years, I had the opportunity to travel to different areas of the world and experience different cultures. So moving to a new city or country would be nothing new to me.

As some of you know I am moving out of Dan's house near the end of this month. At this time I have no concrete takers or the financial ability to move into my ideal 2 BR townhouse or condo. I dream of the day that I do. Dan is preparing for marriage to his girlfriend. It is a good time for me to move on with my own life. It makes me sad to think of what all went into getting to know him and welcome him into our community and now to see him ask that I would leave his house. He owns the house so I really have no say in it. I wish him the best in his future and hope he has a happy life with whomever God blesses him.

My birth sister Karen (McCammon) Cannon is planning to visit Tucson in June and I am very much anticipating her visit. I trust her fully and I always have. She always is straight with me what I'm doing right/wrong and how I'm treating our family and friends. I wanted a brother but she has been quite a blessing to me in her own right.

I also have not driven my own truck/car since Christmas of last year. I have realized my truck needs to be donated to someone who needs it more than I. I can't afford any longer to pay for repairs and insurance on it. It has been quite a change to my life not having my own ride. I miss Berlin so much. I would always just get on a subway with my family and just go all over town on it. I would look forward to possibly moving back there if the opportunity presented itself.

I want all of you to know that I will not just take off without letting you know of my decision. I just want to in advance thank you for all of your prayers and support in my life over the last five years I've been in this community. It has changed my life for the better.

Much love,
James McCammon II

P.S. Please pray for me and my family as we go on with our lives.

Thanks for the update, James... It sounds like things have been rough lately. I hope that you'll stay connected in with people while you're in between things. We've missed you while you were out there working long hours.
