Here's a reminder for all those that wanted to know. Bookman's is hosting another swing night tonight from 7:30 until 9:30ish. There will be a 30 minute lesson followed by music/dance from ~8p on. It is held in the community room at the Bookman's on Speedway just west of Wilmot.
As a sidenote this is where I started learning swing dancing. The lady that taught me that first night, Brandy, is still teaching there. She also comes to the Armory Park dances.
The Armory Park swing dance will be this Saturday the 25th. There will be a lesson from 7-8pm with the band Misbehavin' performing for us during the dance which will follow the one-hour lesson. There is an admission of $7 and $5 for UA Swingcats members (such as myself). Admission covers you for the whole evening of lesson and dancing.

The dance will be held in the event center which is just off the 5th Avenue sidewalk where you'll find the double sliding doors that lead you into the dance hall. I hope that helps. I will be there for both the lessons to help as an experienced dancer. It also helps me warm-up.
See ya there. |
