June 14th ... Return of the James
I was glad to see that almost all of my family here in KY is calling me James. A few of them call me Robert and then call me James. My cousin Julie reminded me how many names I wanted to be called by. She has a good memory. She is 3 years younger than I am. The names were Robbie, Rob, J, Robert, J.R., and James. I seem to request a new name every time I visit anyone on my mom's side of the family.
I was able to spend time with my cousin Julie's house near Lexington. She has her masters in education and is entering her second year of teaching coming in August. She will be teaching at a small school that has all grades K-12 in it. She will be the only math teacher there (Bergen Independent School).
My cousin Julie is an only child. I am so proud of what she's accomplished. She recently bought her first house at 24. She says that she misses all the get-togethers we would have when we were younger -- family has since moved away and gotten married, had kids, and started their own lives (meaning her cousins, me included, have moved out of our parents' houses).
Julie Wheeler is her name. I was telling her about Julie in the Village and she says that she has to realize when people mention her name they may not be referring to herself. Her boyfriend, David, has told her about one of his friends also named Julie and she says she wishes she were the only one named Julie -- sort of a controlling issue she says.
I will be back in Tucson on Tuesday the 14th about 5-6pm. I saw on the calendar that we have a Funniest Bible Study on that day. Is that correct or is it still on the first and third Monday of the month? Hope y'all are doin' fine.
See ya soon. |
