I have some great news to share. I will be signing the lease on my new apartment this coming Saturday, the 21st. It is a 1 bedroom apartment on Silverbell south of Grant.

I won't have much to move in with so I don't anticipate the move taking too long at all. The address of my new place is 2120 N. Silverbell Road #11-203.

As for a phone number I will be getting my cell phone turned back on sometime in February. I may sign up for a landline phone but haven't yet decided on that yet.

I will be looking for a bed, some chairs and some kitchen supplies. If you have any ideas where I could find some please let me know via email or when you see me for church on Sunday.

I don't plan on fully leaving my current place at the Primavera Men's Shelter until Saturday the 28th. I'll let you know if that changes. All help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

James

P.S. The name of the apartments is Silverwood Terrace. A co-worker recommended it to me (he lives there also). It's about a 5-10 minute walk from my work as well as just about everything else.

Things with work and the apartment are moving right along. I called the TEP people (electricity) yesterday and they told me that they would turn the electricity on for me Friday the 20th of January. I will move in on Saturday (YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!).

I will be moving in a few of my things in on Saturday and the rest at a later time.

My last day at the Primavera shelter will be Friday night/Saturday morning the 20th/21st. My case worker there at Primavera, Peter Gomez, is so excited and happy for me. He's been in my camp since the day we met about 6 weeks ago. He wished, like I, that I could have moved out sooner to the day I got my job but we both understand why that didn't happen.

I will finally be able to stay through an entire Vespers service again also. While I was staying at the Primavera Men's Shelter I had to be back by 7p or my place would have been taken by somebody else. I have been at the Primavera place since I started the Jackson Employment program on Monday, November 21 (about 8-9 weeks).

I have learned alot about focus while I've been living at Primavera. I kept my job and housing focus the entire time I was there. I had more than a few people there tell me that the Jackson program was a fraud and it doesn't work. I listened respectfully and didn't let their words hurt me. I believe there have been so many people praying for me to combat all the lies and half-truths that have fought against me during these last few months. Prayers do fight off evil. Thank you so much again for your prayers.

It was quite a different life for me waking up everyday at Primavera at 5 am when they turn the lights on and coming back to stay in for the night at 7p each night. That is so different than what I had been doing previously. It gave me a lot of discipline and focus that I need though.

I can't describe in words how happy I am right now. I give all the praise and glory to God. I know without his grace and guidance I wouldn't have made it, or for that case, making it now.

I look forward to seeing all of you on Sunday and I'll be staying for the whole service and afterwards. Thank you God!

Good going James! I hope you'll find that you are able to keep your newly found focus once you've gotten used to being on your own again. You are making good strides in the right direction and I hope that will continue also. Enjoy the move and the new place!!!
