I have been working for INFO NXX since November 18, 2002. Well, that ended today, January 13,2004. I was having a difficult time clocking in on time. I feel like I am being moved to work somewhere else, though. It will be a fresh start. The people I have worked with at INFO have always treated me good. I would recommend anyone to work there.
It was quite a change from my 7-year period working for Fry's Food and Drug (August 5, 1995 - May 29, 2002). At Fry's the company treats you like you are their property and they never need to listen to anything you say. I thank God they have a union, United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW), on the employees side.
I remember talking with customers I would run across while working at Fry's and they would tell me the store had really gone downhill in customer service since Kroger/Dillon Inc. bought Fry's. Kroger/Dillon owns something like 30 different chains of grocery stores and convenience stores across the nation. That's how big they are.
I must say I am forever grateful to meeting some good people there though. I met my neighbor Virginia Chasan when I first came to work at Fry's. She welcomed me and was always helpful and caring towards me. In May of 1998, she had asked me if I was interested in having roommates to live with and I told I was thinking I would be. A few weeks later she introduced me to her brother Gary Veino and I visited his house to see what I could be moving into later. I took about a week to say yes and then move in. I have had quite an experience living there with Gary and his friend Patty Klamerus. I will soon be leaving there but I know I will stay in good contact with them all. Again, I see that I will be making a fresh start.
As most of you know I also met Emily (Walker) Lewis while I was working at Fry's. I could have never imagined how important that meeting with her would have been. She is an awesome role model to me for reaching out to people who may need help in their lives. I am blessed to call her my friend and sister-in-Christ.
Love,
Your brother-in-Christ
