Subject: Thoughts from Mike

I know most of you don't look at the Forums, so I decided to transfer mike's post to a blog. I should have taken the hint. First my Tae Kwon Do instructor told me to relax and have fun. Stop trying so hard. Then My roommates put me in the hot seat about relationships. Then a friend that I have known for years shared her thoughts with me about what a good friend I have been in all the time we have known each other. That sort of surprised me. I have hurt her a few times over all those years. Not intentionally, but still hurt her. Relationships are not my strong point. I have to always get everything right. I have to be an A student at school. I have to serve the Lord with no mistakes. I have to be the perfect roommate, and the perfect friend. The only one I do not feel that pressure is with my friend Jody. She knows me too well anyway. With the people at The Village, my community, and my friends, I have not been as honest or as good a friend as I could be. I have not trusted you all to accept me for who I am. That is insulting the community in general, and to some members in paticular. I am sorry. I have been afraid I will be kicked out of the community if my flaws were out there for all to see. Or I will be seen as needy if I ask for help. Well, I am flawed, and there are times I am needy. I do not always get it right. Thanks for the friendship.
