The Village: Sept week 2 and 3
Last week I wrote about Celtic Prayer. I encouraged you, if possible, to come to Celtic Prayer. The next Celtic Prayer will takes place on Thursday Sept. 16, 2004 - 7:30pm at the Muse. At Celtic Prayer, you will be given the opportunity to be silent, meditate on scripture, pray silently, think about Celtic Prayers, look at the Art, and pray for your community with you brothers and sisters. I am promoting Celtic Prayer because I believe that the Village needs to come together and pray as a community. Theology Group: Romans - I got a good response on the sign-up sheet last week and there were about 20 villagers missing at Vespers. I’m going to pass the sign up sheet around one more Sunday evening. We will probably start class on the first week of October and finish up the first week of December. The class will be 3 hours every other week. A fallow month? December is the Village’s Fallow month. Everything stops except Vespers. No Writers Group, No Celtic Prayer, No Monday night Dinners, No Theology Group, No Bible Studies, etc. Why do we do this in December when other churches are doing Christmas pageants etc? Well, we want you to spend time with your family and friends. We want you to use the extra time to Meditate on Christ’s birth. The Leadership would like you to make an extra effort to have your neighbors over for dinner and conversation. Please begin to think about what you might do this December. Membership. For the next few weeks at Vespers, our discussing will revolve around the Village Values and Membership. On the Third week of Oct we will have our Membership Service. Pastor Eric Cepin
