To The Village:
Grace and Peace from the apostle near you. Notice how I write with such clarity. This is because my helpful servant, Sue, is taking dictation and ironing my choppy sentences into ornate patterns of verbage and nounage.
The magnets have arrived! As many of you know, today is February 1st. There are approximately 10 days until the Banquet. This is important, because tonight is the second and final prayer meeting. It will be held at 4802 N. Ft. Lowell, Unit N. [Instructions: Take Swan north to Ft. Lowell. Turn right (heading East) and go just past Torino. Turn right into the first townhome neighborhood entrance. The house is the last one on the right. Parking is to the left.]
Those who have signed up are: Kim Julie Karen Jeremy Trizia Dennis Ruth Rod Layne Emily L Lori Kelsea
If you are preparing an art piece for the Banquet, please bring it to Vespers on Sunday. However, if you’re not completely finished, do not fret! The Seneca house will be accepting submissions through Thursday, February 7.
Those contributing to the booklet of Village stories should get your writing to Kelsea by this Sunday if possible.
In regard to transportation: if you are able to drive to Phoenix and carry passengers with you, please e-mail me at hedge61@hotmail.com or sign up on Sunday. We are hoping to get most people TO PHOENIX by 10 a.m.
Those of you with young children are encouraged to arrange childcare on your own if you are able. However, we are working on a plan to provide babysitting for those of you who need assistance. In order to facilitate this, I need to know who you are. Please talk to me on Sunday if you will need help with childcare on the day of the Banquet.
From the last report, about 50-60 tickets have sold. Our best estimation at this point of the number of people who will be in attendance (including Villagers) is a little over 100. This is good, because it will give us an opportunity to connect in a more intimate way with some people who really care about us. Please pray that tickets will continue to sell, as we would like to have a hearty turnout.
Reminder to Band people: Practice is at 10 a.m. this Saturday at the Seneca house. This practice will be a final opportunity to prep music for the Banquet.
This Sunday will be a shortened service. Children will stay in the service. We’ll be reading Scripture and singing. I need 4 readers. Please e-mail me if you’re willing to participate by reading.
Note to Steve and Hannah: You won’t be responsible for KidVespers this week. Please find an empty slot and sign up again. |
