Belonging Service This coming Sunday is the Village's Belonging Service. The Belonging Service is our annual membership ceremony. There are two ways that you can belong at the Village. First, you can sign the covenant and make a commitment to the church for a year, affirming that you agree with the doctrine, are willing to be under the guidance of the Village leadership, and will participate in the mission and activities of the community. Second, you can see the community as a place where you want to be connected to the people and activities, but you are either unable to sign the covenant because you disagree with some or all of the belief statement, or because you belong to another church and are somehow connected to another Villager, acting as a support to the community itself. This year, we are symbolizing our belonging by decorating puzzle pieces in a way that represent each person and then placing them together to represent the whole community and its interconnectedness in Christ. If you did not receive a puzzle piece but intend to be part of the service, there will be plenty of extra pieces as well as crayons, markers, and pens for decorating. If you do have a puzzle piece, please remember to decorate it this week and bring it on Sunday. Pastor Eric
