On November 22, the Village will hold its 8th annual Soup Supper. I am so excited and hope to see you there with your best soup or best bread or (note) best dessert. Pastor James and his lovely wife Liz have offered their home to host this most fabulous of events. If you did not pick up a map at Vespers, please click here to locate their house. If you have any questions regarding the Soup Supper, please call me @ 444-8810 or e-mail me @ hedge61@hotmail.com.

Letter Writing Party
Many of you have worked on lists of people to whom you might send fund raising letters but have not sent those letters. This Tuesday, Eric & Susan will host a special event where you can make use of their extra large table, as well as envelopes, stamps, and the many tongues available for licking envelopes. Sue will make one of her famous dishes to feed your rather large or rather small tummy. You will feel happy and fulfilled. Your letters will be sent. You will no longer have to hear about getting your letters sent. We hope to see you there.

Beating the Ol' Missional Drum
I will make this quick, short, and beautiful... hmm... that was an odd collection of words. The unofficial official start time of Vespers is 5:10. Your prompt arrival helps newcomers feel welcome and less noticeable, as well as helping us to end at a reasonable time. Thanks very much, Your Obnoxious But Tall And Large Pastor (?)

The Future of Groups
Your leaders, the people who lead you, have been working hard to put together a collection of groups which will better help you integrate into the community and mature in your faith. Now, you might be wondering, "Self, who are these leaders?" In which case, your self should answer, "Self, they are Rod & Eric, your very handsome pastors; Keith & Julie Brunson, Ryan Moore, Tom Wodrich, Jeff McConnell, your ever-capable shepherds; and last, but not least, Aaron & Kim Cromer, Sue Cepin, Ron Layman, Ruth van Stelle, Lori Moore, Mary Kay Wodrich, Russ Lewis, and Cheryl Russell, your innovative and squirrel-like lead-ministers." These groups will all begin the 3rd week in January. You will be hearing more about them during the upcoming Drumming Circle.
