Notes From Your Leaders
-A Missional Makeover for the Nursery-

In order to provide a safe place for our children who are three and under, and to offer comfort and confidence to new people with children, we've decided to overhaul the way we run the nursery. First, if you have nursery-aged children, you will drop them off at the nursery before Vespers begins. They and their possessions will receive identifying nametags. You will sign your child/ren in and out. Near the end of Vespers, before the final song, you will be instructed to retrieve your children and bring them back for the end of the service. At this time, the cricket herder will also bring the older children into the sanctuary.
If you are signed up to work in the nursery, you must be at the building at 4:50 to set up the nursery and welcome babies as they arrive. Nursery volunteers will also sanitize toys and lock the room after all the little ones have been picked up.
-Moore Adventures with Youth
Lori Moore is planning on starting a middle school/jr. high youth community. This group would meet every Thursday night at the building. There will be teaching, food, time to play, and opportunities to reach kids in the neighborhood and other friends. Lori also plans to take the kids on a missions trip some time in the future. The group will start some time in the next couple of months after Lori has solidified plans and curriculum.
-Rules Our Kids Should Live By
For the sake of safety, we are asking that children not bring skateboards, scooters, swords or toy guns to Vespers for the indefinite future. We are working as quickly as we can to provide a safe place for the children to play. In the meantime, we are asking that children who play outside be supervised by an adult. For the foreseeable future, we will provide a place after Vespers for the nursery-aged children to play in the cry-room next to the sanctuary. We'll also provide some video game systems for the older kids to play on and hang out after Vespers. Our objective is to get the playground and fencing up within the next three weeks so that the kids can move on to more active adventures.
