The Village: June 9, 2005 Being Human What does being human really mean? Apart from biological definition of species, the answer is not very clear. Even today’s society in general has recognized that humanity is regressing into inhumane behavior. If it weren’t so there would be no need for organizations such as the “Humane Society”. This realization offers much hope and opportunity to those of us who are on the path returning to human-ness. The Apostle John’s message throughout his writings is that the gospel is “the Lord Jesus Christ and Him raised”. Sounds like just words. But in His name, Jesus, lies the fact that He was human – not just by specie but in utter completeness. He was not super-human, but pure-human (as well as pure-divine). His human-ness is the original design. What, then, should the message be to a society that recognizes its lack of humanity and is groping for betterment? ~Tricia Williams~ Stuff: Men’s Smackdown: 6:30pm this friday at Joel's, Ryan's, and Mike's house.
