Sermon by Eric Nehemiah 9 Skeptic Chickens Outtake Fasting This Sunday, we talked about how the Israelites were emotionally impacted by their sin. I suggested that it would be a good thing for our community to use this month’s time of fasting to ask God to confront us with our sin so that we might be able to confess and be in touch with its impact. I also asked the community of men to meet me for a time of prayer from 6:30-8:00 a.m. on Friday at the church building and the women to gather from 5:30-7:00 p.m., also on Friday at the building. The New and Improved Drumming Circle In staff meeting, it was brought to my attention that I may not have clearly communicated who needs to be at the Drumming Circle. Please allow me to clear up any confusion. IF YOU ARE A MEMBER OF THE VILLAGE OR WOULD LIKE TO BE A MEMBER OF THE VILLAGE, YOU NEED TO BE AT THE DRUMMING CIRCLE ON AUGUST 14 AT 6:00 P.M. Also, if you are in high school or junior high and are either a member of the Village or have parents who are members of the Village, we want you to be there! If you have children and have not checked off boxes indicating that you need childcare, then we are assuming that you have found your own childcare. If this is not the case, please contact me as soon as possible. On Sunday, the final sign-up list will be available. We need to know how many of you are coming so that we can plan for food.
