To the Village
Note 1: NO Bible Study today at the Unwin House. It has been cancelled.
Events and Stuff:
1) Cooking Chicken. A new system was developed to deal with the Chicken for Sunday. Ryan and Andrea McCulley volunteered to be the distribution point for the food. You will receive a call from them reminding you that its your turn to cook the chicken. You can coordinate with them a good time to pick it up from their home. We are planning on starting at the beginning of the list. This means that Adrienne Crawford is up for this week. The list is as follows: Adrienne Crawford, Blanca Cepin, Aaron Cromer, Ginger Unwin, Layne, McCulley Family, Susan Park, Jim Waldridge, Hannah, and Emily Lewis (Julie Brunson will serve as backup incase someone is unable to participate on a given week.
2) The Crawford Barbeque and Painting Party (People who signed up: Williams, Cepins, Dennis, Ron L., Rod H., and others that I can't remember because I lost the sign-up sheet) The Crawford's are hosting barbeque and painting party. The painting begins at 8:00am, and the barbeque starts at 1:00pm. If you can't make it for the painting, but still want to hang-out - drop by for the food. It's o.k. if you didn't sign-up, there will be plenty of food for everyone. The Crawfords live at 606 N. Benton Ave.
3) Soup Supper - be there or be square. This is my personal favorite Village event. The Village Soup Supper takes place on November 18, 2006 at Bethel Church. We start serving soup at 6:30pm. The Soup Supper is a very special event at the Village. You will get to eat homemade soup and bread, take communion together, and talk about what you are thankful for. I urge you to come and offer your culinary master pieces and your stories of the past year.
