#2 - The "Fairmount House" Warming Party (the new Home of Lacie Morrison) - 3728 E. Fairmount St. #2. Begins at 7pm on Friday Sept 30, 2005.
A short note from Lacie: I had thought that it would be cool to invite people to bring something representative of them and home, like a photograph they've taken or a poem they've written about home, a mix CD of songs that remind them of home. I'm not registering, and I don't really need much for the house, but something easy and more relationship oriented like that would be cool.
Food: Bring cool snacks.
Friends: Bring them.
Driving Directions: I live on Fairmount between Dodge and Alvernon just north of Speedway. So, if you're coming from Speedway and you travel north on Dodge, you turn right onto Fairmount - it's the second street. About half way between Dodge and the next street, Winstell, is my house on the south side. It's a small white southwestern style house, facing east. people can park in front of the house without blocking the driveway, and along the fence and the street. My house is in front of the main house, and the owners asked me to make sure that we don't block the driveway to the back.
#3 - "Celebrating Life" Art Show and Barbecue at the Seneca House.
On October 8th our next party/art show will take place. This one is to celebrate Cheryl and her Art. Buckshot Blu, (Check out there music) Karen Bradley's band, has agreed to play. In many ways the first 20 or so years of Cheryl's life were a living hell. This party is a celebration of her leaving that behind. She is inviting many of her friends from work. I'm sure Ryan will invite some of his friends. The party is a celebration of Cheryl’s life, her Art, and Good Music. It will take place on October 8th at around 2pm. Invitations and a food sign up sheet will be available this Sunday.
