So here's the official blog about the downtown showing of Princess Bride.
There is a free movie at La Placita Village every Thursday night and this Thurday the movie selection is "The Princess Bride".
La Placita Village is a shopping/business complex on the southwest corner of Broadway and Church. The entrance is on Church. Park on the streets nearby. (All downtown meters are free after 5pm.)
The movie is in the courtyard of the business complex. The screen hangs from the second floor. Chairs are available but many people bring their own camping chairs (especially if you don't get there early) Some people bring blankets and sit down in front. Others gather on the grass in the gazebo area. My goal is to sit somewhere to the left of the grassy area (not in the grassy area). This is mainly because sometimes the kids end up playing in the grass behind the gazebo.
There are some restaurants still open and there is popcorn (next to the donation box). You are also welcome to bring your own snacks.
