Alright, I've compiled the chapbook, sent out e-mails to most of the writers to get confirmation for the use of their work as well as any editing changes. So now, I'd like to get feedback on the contents. Does it look good? Are there other works, other writers, other photographs, etc., you would like to see included? All of these poems have come either off of this website (in which case, check the archives), or else out of the various writer's groups (in which case, if you would like to know what the work is about, you will have to ask the writer).
All that said, give me lots of feedback, or else I will continually randomly "edit" this blog so that it constantly appears at the top of the blog list (until Russ gets tired of it and kicks me off).
FEEDBACK!!! FEEDBACK!!! Support the arts!

Will there be art? Or is this just poetry and photos?

Questions, questions, so many questions! Can I ask a few myself? Like why does TR's voiceover have to be done by Richard Dreyfuss? Why?

First of all, can we find a printer that will do full-color pages or allow color inserts? Currently the one I plan to use is black-and-white, which looks nice for the photos and is very cheap. Still, we could use a painting for the cover if you have something.

Second of all, what do you want the chapbook to look like?
I originally had no intention to use photography. Then I put Julie's "Anna" poem/photo in and branched out from there. I liked the look of the photographs because they are professional and don't complicate the page (This, after adding 40+ weird, insane drawings into my own poetry book, is kind of a nice relief). So, I can branch out into artwork, but I need a vision for what it looks like and what it adds. Give me directions, and I'll try for it.

Third of all, do we want this to be a single chapbook, an annual, or a quarterly chapbook, or do we care?
If we do several of these, I'd like to have a format for continuity that we can stick to. i.e., if I don't have enough new art to add per quarter I'm stuck and have to change format. Or I can use my own artwork, or I can buy Sue a whip and see what happens. Photos take less time to make, and they are easy to work with (Now all photo-artists can all kill me for demeaning their artform).

Hey Schmooie -
Would the color printer in the office be usable for this kind of thing?

Sure, just get me a CD of good quality versions and I'll look at formats. Especially, get me a good picture of my piece on the door so I can use it on the cover of my poetry book. :) The more archives I have of work, the better off I'll be. Also, Keith, just re-read the blog, and it's almost like I wrote it twice. . . Well, almost.

Oh, no. I mean the other painting on the other door. The "weird person." ADHD Mind Numb. Not the Online Villager with the spear and the mouse. I need to wake up earlier on Mondays so I can get over to the Muse to paint it. Actually, I don't. It is just a desire set by internal pressures to please everybody. I'll actually probably put it off longer. It's at a good place to pause while I catch up on other things. Like sleep.

Thats the question everyone is asking... or is it just me? I can be very ego centric at times or well to be more precise like all the time. Like right now, who cares about what I'm writting? I certinly don't so I'm just going to stop right here. By the way Derek, we see nothing wrong with mine or susan's poems.

Yeah, I'm kinda excited about this anthology of ours. Derek, I have a few changes...mostly space breaks between stanzas, and at least one spelling typo I caught. I'll try to bring an edited paper copy to Vespers tomorrow.

It's interesting to me, the five poems you picked from my...dozens?...out there floating about.
