hello hello...
Cori here, just writing to say that I am leaving for New Zealand tomorrow for seven weeks!!! I will certainly miss you all, and hope you think of me because right as church starts (515pm) I will be on a plane out of Tucson, and then we leave LA for auckland at 940pm. Yay for the 14 hour plane ride!!!
for those of you who don't know, I am going on a mission trip with six others. for the most part we will be in the city Palmerston North helping a woman who is there full time with her college ministry on a university.
I'm not only excited for the change of scenery, pace, activities, etc. - but to see all that God will do there. I think back to Rod's previous sermons about being in that state of utter dependance on Him, and that is what I see happening a lot. since I like to control things, the fact that I will be out of the country in the hands of others, I hope to really see God as being more personal and near and that HIS way is best. that He really does give life and freedom to me, and therefore I have that to offer others.
your prayers are obviously appreciated and needed actually... isaiah 42:5-10 has caught my eye recently of a vision type passage for my trip. thanks again... I can't promise any real updates on this website but a few of you are on my email list and can feel free to pass it along to whomever.
I will be thinking of you and the lovely 105 degree weather when I am all bundled up in sweats and sweatshirts in 50 degrees!!! :) |
