Most of you know that I've been out here coaching basketball the last couple of months. My family has been in town, so I finally have some pictures of me on the sidelines.

Check them out on my blog: corwithani.blogspot.com.

Enjoy!

Cori, I live vicariously through you. If I couldn't be a pastor I would love to be a chef or a basketball coach. When I had the opportunity to coach, I absolutely loved it. Keep us updated so I can get my fix, okay?

Pass and screen away, double down on the big man, box and one, 2-1-2 zone press, slip the screens, back cut to the basket, UCLA high post offense, North Carolina spread, collapsing zones, motion offense, split the double team...

Yeah, maybe in my next life. :)

Rod

Well Rod I can tell you, it's been tons of fun so far and I try not to think too much about the fact that the season will be over in 3 weeks. I will definitely have withdrawals when I don't see these girls nearly every day.

Our season has gone well so far - the beginning of the season we were 1 - ? but a ton of losses (mostly because we were playing "real" JV teams who have fresh/soph/juniors on their team, whereas on my team no one was cut and they are mostly freshmen), but now we have won 3 of our last 4 games!! So they really are learning which is encouraging. I believe we have 7 games left or something like that.

And I would love to implement all of those things you mentioned, but trust me, we're still getting down the basics of rebounding, making good/strong passes, dribbling with our heads up, etc. However a couple of weeks ago I taught them a halfcourt 1-3-1 zone trap which they really like and are getting pretty good at. :-)
