So, for a few days awhile back I was living in sadness because I am not super artistic, nor a photographer or a musician, so I really didn't know how I could put on some kind of fundraiser for my upcoming trip. Then I had an epiphany!! I LOVE MEXICAN FOOD!!! So, I am excited to announce a fun event that I hope you can take part in, all of the benefits going toward my upcoming mission trip around the world. Details: WHAT: A Guacamole/Salsa Off!! Make your best homemade guacamole and/or salsa and bring to see whose will win the coveted prize of being called "THE BEST." Yes, there will be prizes!!! WHEN: Saturday, May 16th from 1-4pm (the guacamole/salsa will be the only food to eat, so please eat lunch before and come for a snack!). *Your guacamole/salsa MUST ARRIVE by 1:30PM to be entered!* WHERE: My parent's house, east side of Tucson... email me if you need specific directions - corwithani@gmail.com COST: $10 to enter your guacamole/salsa (if you enter the contest, you're allowed to eat to at no further charge). $5 to just come and hang out, eat, and vote on whose is "BEST." $3 for kids under the age of 12 to come and eat and vote. WAYS TO HELP: I need... - a bouncer or two to sit by the door, welcome people, take their money, and give them their voting sheets - people to volunteer to bring tortilla chips and soda - a few people to commit to staying after and helping clean up!!! - all of you to come!!!!!! I don't think I've left anything out... I'd love to have a semi-accurate count of who is going to be entering the contest, so if you know, you can RSVP here, email me, or I'll be making a Facebook event later and you can do so there.
