One year and counting. November is the month of Thanksgiving and I have a ton to be thankful for this year. Like a new family, place to live, car, a baby that lives with me, art and music. But most of all I have God to thank for is freedom from darkness. It was a year ago today that I was released from five demons. There was a lot building up to this day, but I remember waking up the next morning November 11 and sitting outside on the porch praying to God and feeling truly forgiven for the first time in my life, being able to hear God and not having all the crazy noise that I had had in my head for the previous twenty some odd years. It was amazing. I have been talking about that morning as one of the things that I am truly thankful for about this year and it makes me tear up. God has done a lot of other things in the midst of being freed from darkness. Like not self-harming and not smoking. He is still piling away some of the layers with the little subtle ways that I have tried to destroy my body for the first 28 years of my life, but a year ago He freed me from the huge, blatant ways that I had been using. It is pretty amazing to actually be taking care of myself quiet a bit of the time now when I used to not do it at all. So, it is one glorious, free, full of grace, mercy and forgiveness year and counting. This year has been full of new patterns as I try to shift away from all of the old patterns with the help of God and this community. I have been thanking God a lot about all this, and I wanted to share it with all of you and thank you as well.

It's been a hard, but really GOOD year. God has done some really amazing things for you and in you.
I love you.

... full of beauty. In only one year you have been wholly transformed. It is like the miracle of birth. Your life expresses the essence of hope. Thank you for sharing your journey and your life with us. It's quite a privilege.
