Responses andrea: Will do. . . (2/14/12) Responses (sorted by date) andrea: Will do. . . (2/14/12) So, as most all you know, I am Bipolar, well medicated, but still Bipolar. About a month ago, I headed down the path of hypo-mania. I did not completely realize it because I was on a muscle relaxant for my neck and back which masked the manic head and continued my sleep. Two weeks ago when I went off of it; I stopped sleeping and the mania came full force. On top of all of that, my work is extremely stressful right now; about a month ago, we were all over the media and the aftermath of tragedy is coming full force upon the system. I am covering more areas then I was before as people are not here. As most of you also know, in 2011 I successfully took my anti-psychotic down almost in half which was initiated by the need to get out of the side effects that were getting to me from the medication. A little over a week ago, I had to go back up to my max dosage and a little beyond. I am know back at my max dosage that I have ever been on, nearly double what I have been on for the last several months. I tell you all this because I need prayers on what I will do to completely stabilize. My doctor and I knew that I could cycle back into mania on this low of dosage, so it was not unknown. But I had hoped that it would not. My doctor would like me on an anti-seizure medication; that also has some unfortunate side effects. He has thought for two years that I would need to be on both medications in order to be stabilized. I go to see him this week to see what the plan will be long term. Please pray for guidance from God for both of us, and for me to be willing to do things that might be best for me but I am not completely comfortable with. Also, please pray for my family as it appears that my only nephew is struggling with some mental health things as well.
