With lots to be thankful for, I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. This has been the most interesting Thanksgiving. Being slightly impaired from injuries and not being allowed to do much. I am thankful that I still got to roll out pie crusts for several pies last night and got to chop up veggies and bread for stuffing. Most importantly, I am thankful for this family that I have around me who care about me, take care of me, and love me. I spent the hour pre-Thanksgiving summing up my adult life to Joel. It is an amazing thing of where I have been and where I am in now, and I think that I am most Thankful for that. This will be the third consecutive Thanksgiving in community and the fourth technical Thanksgiving in community, and this time has just been amazing. No self-harm for over a year has been the amazing thing that God has just turned my life upset down and reorientated things. I have NEVER in my 29 years gone that long; it is a big milestone. So, as we move into the time of reflection of the year and years as the Holidays come, I have my first year in freedom, under new rule and patterns under my belt to talk about, and I am very thankful for that. Most importantly I am thankful that I am alive to share in it and exprience all of it. As I reflected over my adult life, there has been serious times where I probably should have died (slicing into arteries and sleeping in a pool of blood, blood clots in my lungs), so I am very glad and gracious that God has given me this year and pray for many more to come. I pray everyone had a very full and happy Thanksgiving, and I would love to hear what you are thankful for as well.
