Darkness Becomes Light
Too much to fathom, unbelievable truth,
The dark, blackness illuminated by blinding light.
The pain and suffering juxtaposed with joy and love.
Abba, there is too much to handle,
Too much to see,
Too much to know,
Too much to have experienced.
The weight is so heavy,
And yet You ask to take it all.
The darkness surrounded by so much present light,
Light, grace, glory superb - but it brings more pain to the heart
As the darkness is seen in all its disgust.
Why can’t I say it is all shit and leave it?
Why must I wrestle through this wounded heart?
I have not the strength;
I have not the courage,
Yet, I have the longing for You,
To be close and closer to Your face.
Help me to journey through without loosing myself in darkness. |
