Come journey with me for awhile,
It is a steep and winding path;
You could come for at least a mile.
There will be hardship, pain, but no wrath.
Bring your sword to cut through lies,
Your heart to have some healing,
Your courage to face the painful goodbyes,
The soul to slowly have renewing.
We could share our stories together,
Tell of times long passed away,
Walk through memory’s stormy weather,
Keep us both from going astray.
We could cry in each other’s sorrow,
Laugh together through our joy.
There would be things to always borrow,
Sometimes even the youthfulness of a toy.
Will you come join me now?
Journey through life’s crazy moments.
You don’t need to know where or how,
Just remember victories, stories, and laments.
Go journey with them for awhile,
It will be a steep and winding path;
You could stay for at least a mile.
There will be hardship, pain, but no wrath. |
