Subject: A Rant

I feel trapped in a mace of despair. So much sadness, so many wretched things, so much to think of in this day of endless waste. What will we do with ourselves? Crumble the world to pieces in a mass moment. Handicap generations upon generations of children. I have got to get out of this hole and yet it seems as if I cannot. Are You really there, do You really care? So, You brought calamity against the Israelites long after they had been sacrificing their children to other gods. Where is the calamity now? Are we not Your people? We glorify and idolize the stars, the people in fame, people around us, our addictions as the children continue to be sacrificial babes upon the fire of our sin. Have we not seen enough? Have You not seen enough? I understand not Your patience with any of us. The difficulty to grasp mercy and grace. And yet I give it day after day, holding onto invisible strings of hope, only to be slapped in the face with another piece of wickedness. How do You handle that as we do it to You each day? How do You resist whipping us out? How do You still love as we have turned our backs a thousand times over? Help me to see for I am out of hope for this world. Hang unto little successes. “It will get better after the Holidays.” Really? It seems to be getting progressively worse each day, month, year. As we see more hideous things that humans can do to their children, to themselves. When will we finally implode?
