I thought I would send the community a blog as to why I'm not at the Village anymore. It had nothing to do with theology or conflicts or problems with the church community and leadership. I left because I couldn't get there anymore because of the distance I live from the church along with the price of gas. Being on Social Security disability I live below the poverty level and I was running out of money halfway through the month. This was with me only going to service on Sundays and I wanted to get involved with the community with bible study and the theology group. I came to the conclusion that I needed to find a church community closer to me out here in the boonies near Marana High School until I can move into the city again with my dog Penny.
There are people there that I have known for years and it was a good fit with the service being in the evenings. I'm a night person anyway but add my medication load to the equation and the only A.M. I'm associated with is 12 A.M.
I will miss the church community, the openness and intimacy, as well as the pizza after the service.
I really thought I had found a church community so it irritated me that I had come to this conclusion. All of you I know and met I pray for the many blessings that God will shower on you.
Finally I say:
There's a sad sort of clanging
From the clock in the hall
And the bells in the steeple too,
And up in the nurs'ry an absurd little bird
Is popping out to say "coocoo".
Regretfully they tell us,
But firmly they compel us
To say goodby to you.
So long, farewell, Auf wiedersehn, good night,
I hate to go and leave this pretty sight.
So long, farewell, Auf wiedersehn, adieu,
Adieu, adieu, to yieu and yieu and yieu.
So long, farewell, Au'voir, auf wiedersehn,
I'd like to stay and taste my first champagne
So long, farewell, Auf wiedersehn, goodbye,
I leave and heave a sigh and say goodbye,
Good bye
I'm glad to go,
I cannot tell a lie.
I flit, I float,
I fleetly flee, I fly.
The sun has gone to bed and so must I
So long, farewell, auf wiedersehn, goodbye,
Goodbye,
Goodbye,
Goodbye!
