Subject: renewal
This was written way back when we were meeting at new covanent an eon ago. Just found it in my car two days ago. Here it is in all it's glory, first draft and unedited.
The grief of one who can bear no more. It cleaves me. I am whole phsyically but emotionally my heart is rent and torn, scattered to the wind like a thousand dead leaves. I gather the fragments that I can and huddle as the wind of pain sweeps over my naked sholders. As I try to recover, my being is wracked my the aftershocks of doubt. Who can withstand such a storm, and yet I must. I am not allowed to rest. Out of the darkness a hand reaches to me, strong and kind. To grasp it I must let go of what remains of the fragments of my heart. The letting go to grasp hold is the hardest part. As I uncurl my fingers and watch the fragments of myself scuttle away, imagine my surprise when I had a new heart and a new body given to me. I am refreshed, I am whole.
