Benji-
Flocking??? What the heck are you talking about Susan?. Most people are going to read this blog and be completly confused. I know I am.
Susan-
I dont know that I really want to talk about flocking. I mean, birds flock, people flock, what more is there to say? Lets talk about something else.
Benji-
Hey you chose the subject, not me. Ok so what are we going to blog about? I can't think of any cool scripture thing like Suki did... So how about sports, ay?
Susan-
Yes, how 'bout them sports? We could talk about shoes and ships and sealing wax and whether pigs have wings...?
Benji-
Thats a lot to talk about. Lets go with one thing and move on when that subject is spent. So about sports, I've been enjoying the Tuesday basketball. It's a shame I'm not going to be able to go this semester. You know classes.
(P.S. that last line is for the general public who don't know that ;-)
Susan-
Yes, I'm loving playing basketball again. It is one of the highlights of my week now. Sorry you wont be around to see me blow everyone away on the court. Oh well. You know, I think the soccer team at school is playing every few Saturdays, if you want to play I can find out when.
Benji-
Of course. Who wouldn't want to play soccer? Even if I do have to get up early in the morning. It's a worthwhile venture.
I'd like to hook up with Eric and see if we can try again to get some vollyball going. Maybe not but it's worth a try. We tried a couple years ago but it didn't work out. We might have enough people now to get it going though.
Susan-
Volleyball makes my arms sting. But other than that its a pretty fun game. Id play if you and Eric got something together. So, how bout them Jets?
Benji-
Well as you well know I live right next to the Air Force Base so they can get pretty loud.
Susan-
Are we done with sports now? How about we edify our online community with some spontaneous dueling poetry?
Benji-
Ohh! Sounds fun and corny. Lets do it!
(b)Heights and frights
(s) and other delignts
(b)Looking down around this dreary town
(s) I can't help but give a sigh and frown
(b)Where has my life gone?
(s) I've lost my song.
(b)Just this guitar on my back, I'm the urban Bard.
(s)Trying to sing the tears of the scarred.
(b)The stone I carry on my back emits an eerie wail.
(b) stung hard, it's disonance resonates in my jail.
(s)Corners dark, sewers deep,
(s) I haunt the streets in search of sleep
(b)Resting, jesting, ever testing.
(b) Looking for my eternal nesting.
(s)Looking for some place of peace
(s) past these tears, beyond release.
(b)Sunlight glances off a daisy.
(s) Birds fly by, I'm feeling lazy
(b)A boot in my side brings me back to my gutter.
(b) I gather my guitar and turn with a shudder.
(s)A harsh light shines from the winter sky
(b) I wait for my savior to draw nigh.
Benji-
The End. By the way Susan. What word was that? Oh yes, Padasy. What was that?
Susan-
You know, PADASY. Related to Oops-a-daisy. That padasy.
Benji-
Shouldn't that be psadaisy. As in the crasy psyco daisy that's tryinig to take over the world?
Susan-
I think that is psydasy. As in Psycadelic paisley.
Benji-
Where did you garner an "L" from? This is getting out of hand. I think we should stop while people still like us.
Susan-
After that poem? Ok, might as well post this.
Happy Saturday to all, and to all a good night.
Benji-
If you made it this far, thanks. And get a life. Why have you got the time to be reading all the way to the end? SIGH! |
