Well hello village people. Susan and I are in Juneau Alaska right now posting from a cyber cafe. We decided that the $5 for an hour at the cafe was better than the $55 for 100 minutes on the ship. Today was beautiful. We sailed up an inlet and saw several icebergs and some glaciers from far away. It is a beautiful blue-sky day. We going to try to post some picturtes at the next port.
We didn't book any on shore tours but we talked to a guy who told us we can take the city bus right up to the big glacier here, so that is the plan once we leave this cafe.
It is so weird, but somehow it feels like we have been on that cruise ship for a long time. The food is great of course and I (Susan) love being able to call room service at any time of the day or night and get a free plate of cookies with a glass of milk. Ok, a box of milk actually. Think school lunch. :)

I (benji) have been shooting pictures like there is no tomorrow. I think I'm averaging 200 a day. Out of the loads of crap pictures and many many repeats, I think I might actually have some really great ones. We'll have to edit and get some ready. It was a really great idea for us to bring our laptop with us. In the airport while travelling with my nieces we were able to keep them occupied with Finding Nemo while we waited in our 5 HOUR LAYOVER. Now we can watch dvds and unload our memory cards all the time.

I(Susan) am not taking nearly as many pictures as Benji is. I think the only think my camera does that Benji's can't do is take film clips - really low quality, but still cool.

We bought some art at the art auction on board ship yesterday. It was the first auction we have ever been to. It was really dead actually, which meant good prices for the two pieces we decided to buy. We are leaving them in Washington, so we will have to post pictures of them for you all. They are SOOOO GREAT! At least we think so. Also, we are getting a free piece of artwork valued at $600 which we will donate to the Village. The SAY it is worth $600 that is. But they are giving a lot of them away for free, so I seriously doubt it.
Ok, now we are getting advice on what to do here from the internet kid (wearing a t-shirt which says, "His life was not POINTLESS," with a bloody nail on it). So goodbye everyone, talk I mean write to ya later!

I hope you guys are having sooooooooo much fun. Get a free piece of art for my office if you can!!!!!!!!

Well here come the pictures. I didn't take much time to really get them fixed up but who cares. I hope that my time doesn't run out befor I get all of them uploaded.

The pictures we took don't even come close to capturing the magnitude of the scenery. With the calving sequence of images, the ice is sitting 250 feet above the water. The sound of the ice cracking is like thunder and oddly enough is called white thunder by the locals. The helicopter flight that I took blew me away. I seriously felt like I was in lord of the rings. It was that beautiful.

Well time is running out so I'll sign off for now.
