In 3-4 weeks (date still to be set), I will be having surgery to hopefully correct pain issues that have developed from past surgeries (adhesions/cysts). We had an appointment with the doctor 2 days ago to figure out what we needed to do before that surgery and to speak about "if best case scenario, you would want..." as an outcome. We (the Royal we) have some worries about surgery. It is much different to be married going into surgery because you have a spouse who worries that you might not come out of surgery again, leaving the other person alone and as a single parent. Having lived through these major surgeries since I was 16, this hadn't ever really entered my mind, and if it did, it was about 'well, if it is my time, I'll be with Jesus' (I'm like Ashton in that way); but the words don't sound or feel the same when you have a husband and child here who need you.

I think it is more important to focus on the hope of good things that God may/will do through this surgery. He provided a way to relieve this pain through 2 capable surgeons, one I had 5 years ago; I feel confident and safe in who he provided. So, best case scenario...here is my hope: I hope to wake up with surgery correcting the pain that has gotten in the way of living life with my husband and family; I hope to have sex that is not painful anymore. I hope for all my organs in my abdomen to hang free of each other and not have any of them restricting another one. I hope that when inspecting inside, the surgeons will see that my fallopian tube is in tact, is either ok already (just blocked by the other things going on) or fixable, and when I wake up, I am told "you will be able to get pregnant". I hope for this surgery to be the last one I ever have to have. I hope for a recovery that goes smoothly. I hope to be able to pray over the surgeons (I did last time...it was cool) and for Jesus to impact them through prayers, my community, my recovery, etc. I hope for the hospital staff to be impacted by the joy they see in my hospital room...I was told last time that they don't get to see that very much. Ryan's added hope-that I will have a positive impact on his family/mom while I am staying with them for recovery.

If I think of more hopes I will add them here. Please pray for these...thanks!
