So, there has been weird stuff going on lately inside of me. I have been nauseous for a week; I threw up the first 2 days that I experienced that. Today I started having more intense pain in my ovary area. I have had the back pains in the lower region too. After seeing a nurse practitioner last Monday, I am being sent for a sonogram. They didn't have an opening until this Thursday. The symptoms are getting worse and I have this weird layer of fluid on my stomach that feels freeky. I was clammy and sweaty when I finally went to work today. But when it rains it pours, I am swamped with 3 babies at the hospital (twins and a single baby)so don't have time to breathe for awhile.

I would like to ask for prayer...it is scary on multiple fronts. I am more scared for 'is this anything dangerous' than the 'what if we can't have kids since I only have one ovary left', but both are terrifying.

Thanks for listening.

Andrea

Hey Andrea,
Hang in there. If you would like the elders to pray over you, please email me. We could set something up in the next few days.
Keep us updated on how you are doing.

Andrea had her sonogram today. We won't know the results for at least 3 business days, possibly more. She's definitely not feeling well physically. We'll keep y'all posted when we know more. Thanks so much for your prayers and thoughts.

I saw my doctor today as I was worried about the symptoms and was told that it would be 3 days until we know anything from the sonogram. My doc (a very good one, thanks Cheryl) is more concernced about an ectopic pregnancy now than anything else. She did a physical exam and more than just the ovary is tender. She took more blood for more tests and we will know those results Monday; she also hopes to have the sonogram report by Monday. One place that was also tender was higher up, so though I don't have symptoms of anything wrong with GI track, if the other is not the case, she would look into something that direction (a blockage or something, I guess?). That is all Ryan and I remember from the doctor's visit. We'll let you know anything else as it develops.

Ok...so I waited all day to hear a response with a few calls in to remind my doctor's office that I was biting my nails off re: the results of the sonogram and the blood work. I got a call at 4:20pm (from a woman who was not my doctor but who thought something in the background was funny enough to laugh while I am on pins and needles on the other side of the phone) to let me know that the blood work came back normal with no positive on the pregnancy test (for the 3rd time) and the HCG level (not for sure what this stands for but is supposed to be high if there is a tubal pregnancy occuring) is normal as well. They hadn't received my sonogram report yet; I asked that the woman who called look again since the imaging place said that they had faxed it 2x so far. The woman couldn't find it so won't know until tomorrow. I left another message for my doctor to call since I still have unexplained symptoms of pain (comes and goes), tenderness inside, dizziness at times, and the body cycles just being off.

Anyway, if you would keep praying for some sort of answer to clear all of this up. I can't quite trust this no answer yet since there is not answer to something that is clearly off. Thanks for your concerns and prayers thus far.

Waiting for medical staff to get around to telling you really important stuff is one of my least favorite activities. I remember having your same symptoms that were mild for a year and then more severe starting in January. We went round and round including a sonogram to check to see if my other ovary was being consumed by a cyst like the first one was. Nothing. For me the situation ended in (June? July?)when I ended up in the ER with a kidney infection and they gave me some really tough antibiotics. Perhaps whatever was bothering me was affected by the antibiotics for the kidney infection? Perhaps whatever it was caused the kidney infection in the first place? Who knows? I just know that I spent a long time with a nagging worry about what was happening to me. So I hope your situation gets resolved soon.

My doctor called herself this afternoon which was a relief...she called and told me that the sonogram was normal and she believed the pain, nauseau, etc. which has cleared up now, was a miscarriage (a really early one but still a miscarriage). While she was on the phone, however, she noticed that the sonogram, though it said it was normal, did not have any info on my left ovary b/c apparently my bowel (or what my surgeon made in its stead) was blocking sight of my ovary. She planned to make some calls to the imaging place to explain my anatomy to see if that helps them read the sonogram anymore. If I don't hear from her, I am just to let her know if any pain or other problems creep up again.

Thanks for your prayers. This is probably the last update.

I have nothing to say. So here is a picture of me. Imagine that I am simply sitting with you and crying.
