So I was making dinner, talking to my friend Hannah- who had just arrived to enjoy the delicious dinner...and the phone rang. St. Nicholas Adoption Agency. Yep, you know what's coming. Foster family decided not to adopt. Are we still interested in adoption? Are you kidding me?!?!!? So we're being considered along with the same family that was being considered over a year ago (who still haven't met her). David walked in the door from class and studying and I told him and he said, "Wow! Really!" with the biggest smile on his face.
So, I am full term in my pregnancy and there's a possibility we'll be reunited with a 6 year old. God is good. And even if she doesn't come to live with us, God is still good. :) I am just glad an adoption is progressing for the doodle bug.
So for all you who know and remember beautiful H- keep her in your prayers. Pray for the best home to be chosen.
And pray for our hearts as we begin preparing for a potential home of 2 children.
May God's will be done.

Edit this response Write a response Email the author From: adriennelynne Date: Wed Aug 6 13:13:09 EDT 2008 Subject: a response to Karen Karen- She's been with a foster family since about Nov. and the agency is ready to move forward with her adoption. So they go to their records and see that we have a homestudy and so does a distant bio family in another state. So they'll weigh the options, choose a family, go to court, judge officially decides, and then the family who is chosen moves forward to prepare for a little girl. :) So it's still a process, and a long shot (well, 50%...kind of..since bios always pull more weight, but that might not be the case this time)... and it will probably take several months for anything to happen. But I will keep you all posted! Good news.... more trips to Tucson! And even GREATER news.... She's in the home stretch to be moved into a FOREVER home! (There's nothing I want more). So it's a slow, lengthy process, with lots of ups and downs....but hey, after 15 months of this, I can wait.... :) Oh and this is the way I assume things will happen, based on past conversations. I have no idea how motivated they are to get her placed in her adoptive home...so it could happen faster...or slower...than I think. I just thought I would give you somewhat of a road map....like you're coming to visit me in Michigan...and so I am telling you the states you could drive through (since there are lots of ways to get here), but I am not telling you how you will arrive on my doorstep to my home. :) Edit this response Write a response Email the author

Sorry I haven't been very good at that! So I posted a couple. There isn't anything in the "Junior" file... (I choose the larger size at first for uploading and the pics were LIFE size...you could count the hairs on my arm they were so big...so I deleted them and did the other file).
