Good morning villagers!!! So here is an update from our home. :) I spoke with our licensing worker yesterday and there is a 3 and a half year old girl in need of home. She has been out of her home since Jan. and in a group home since July. Yes, this beauty needs a true home to be loved and adored. I am so glad that the Village is our home to bring these kids into. Thanks for being so loving to N and M. :) Anyway, we get to meet her this week. I am still ironing out the details. I am anxious and excited. :) We need prayers for discernment. We choose to bring her into our home... a good and a bad thing. The last thing I want is to send her back if it isn't working, but the fear of "rejecting" her if we don't bring her into our home is quite scary too. I know God IS faithful and He will give us the answers we need. Thank you for your continuous love, support, and prayers.
You are all great! Have a fabulous day.
Love,
Adrienne

I was so glad to read your blog today. It is exciting about the possibilities that God has for you in this young child and for her in you as foster parents. God will equip you for the time you are to be her mom and dad, if that is his will. We will be praying for wisdom and for you both to be prepared for the child that is meant to call your house their home...

Is she likely to go home soon or is this long-term foster care with your family?

She isn't going home. There is a family member in another state that might take her. Who knows... We need a few more answers about her aggression and how often she has outbreaks to really know whether or not to pursue her. She is amazing and I would love to take her in, but we work full time and if she has continuous day care problems we may be in for more than we can handle. I am going to talk with the CM at casa to find out more specifics.
