Okay, so here's the latest:
I had an echocardiogram a couple of weeks ago, just to check for any bloodflow issues that might be related to headaches and stroke susceptibility. Haven't heard anything back on that.
My neurosurgeon appt. is set for June 29th. I was stressed about it being so far away, but they won't do anything about the cyst until after I deliver the baby anyway. So it doesn't really matter.
All of the issues right now are directly related to baby delivery. They want to cause the least possible amount of pressure and movement in the brain area during delivery. That means the use of anesthesia (c-section) and of an epidural (one method of pain relief) may be out, and they are likely to want me to not do any pushing. So my obstetrician is considering inducing labor and pulling the baby out with salad tongs. But when I talked to her today, she said it wouldn't be done without pain meds. That's a relief, because I've heard really bad things about the pain factor with induced labor. She's waiting on the neurosurgeon consultation to make those kinds of decisions.
ANYWAY, we got to see a sonogram of the baby today, and he's looking good and healthy. He's 2 weeks ahead of schedule on the growth scale, so we should have a nice little (or big, rather) chubber on our hands.
Thanks again for your prayers. More to come after the 29th.
