Subject: It's Been Too Long

Howdy, everybody! I'm blogging because "It's Been Too Long". It's been too long, because I never know what to write in blogs. But here goes anyway. I think the passage of scripture that God gave me for this year (or for the next bit of time anyway -- I can never seem to hang on to anything for a whole year)is somewhere in Hebrews 11 - 13. "Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us" is what first caught my eye, although I discovered all sorts of stuff around it. The latest thing to catch my eye is "Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hmm. I choose to embrace suffering sometimes, if it seems like the right thing to do or if it looks like obedience or love. But I never think of it as a movement toward joy. I'd like to gain a vision for that. Well, I guess that's it for today. Catch you all later!
