Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to say hello and give you a short update on how we are doing in rainy Bellingham. I finally got a full time job last week. Before that I was working for a temp agency, doing assembly line stuff. Yeah, you read that right! It was very interesting as I have never done anything like that before, but it got old quickly. Here are a few examples of what I did: Put labels on small bottles of appliance touch up paint (4 hours), Folded/taped boxes (8 hours), moved things from one conveyer belt to another (4 hours), loaded instant oatmeat packages into boxes (4 hours)...
Now I am taking care of a "special needs" kid who is 2 years old. Her difficulty is that her body produces very few white blood cells, so she can't go to normal daycare because she gets sick too easily. Her mom is studying to become a nurse, and the state is paying me to take care of Kambria. I take care of her at her place (studio apartment) from about 7am to 4pm. I can't get over that I am getting paid to do about a third of the work that Adriele (my sister-in-law here) does, with her three kids.
Benji is continuing to do well at Lowes. We are trying to stay involved at our new church. We go to Sunday school, even though I hate getting up that early and the study isn't that interesting, because it is a good way to get to know some people. The church had a Halloween event on the 31st and I did the face-painting booth - that was fun! Benji is still working on a website for the church and it is coming together.
I sure miss the Village! We are not coming to Tucson for Christmas, but I may be visiting the week after, since my cousin is getting married and I am not working over Christmas break. So maybe I will see you all then!

Yeah -- we want to see you!
Happy to hear about your job. That's a gift from God to the little girl and her mom. I know that you have good things to offer her and I greatly enjoyed watching you with Ashton when she was two.
