I'm in Flagstaff and am experiencing quite an amazing storm which is bringing back memories of living in Chicagoland. Although everything is very beautiful I could skip the cold, shoveling and dangerous driving that accompany the snow. Tom is planning on driving up on Wednesday or Thursday to bring me back to the desert weather permitting so please pray for his travel safety.
The first two photos are from yesterday morning and the last two are from this morning. Several inches have fallen since I took the photos.

Subject: kids in Chicagoland snow

I remember being a kid in Chicagoland... I love snow. I don't even mind the shoveling [in fact, as a kid I would shovel our driveway and sidewalk because I was asked and usually added in the driveways and sidewalks of our neighbors for kicks]. I loved building snow forts and having massive snowball fights. I loved sledding on sleds that had blades and steering [red flier]. My arthritic body keeps me here in the desert and wouldn't allow me many of these if I did live in the snow, but I'm hoping for some serious snow fun in heaven...
