Psalm 30:11-12
“You turned my wailing into dancing: you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give You thanks forever.”
When I close my eyes I can see myself in a beautiful gown twirling, singing and laughing before You. The music capturing my soul and taking over my body so completely I can’t be still. And You God are clapping Your hands and tapping Your foot with a huge smile on Your face, delighting in me as I move around the room. This is a celebration of love! This is festival of joy! This is the gift of life! This is what You offer me! This is what I long for! This is what I’m afraid to believe. This is why I seldom sing or dance! This is what keeps hope alive! This is what gives me a reason to go on! |
