Our daughter Jennie's Sunday School class at Northwest Community Church in Phoenix will be sending a pallet of supplies for disaster relief to Willowbrook Baptist Church in Huntsville Alabama soon. Specially trained teams will be sent from the Alabama church to distribute the donations and help where needed in New Orleans and Mendehal Mississippi.
The following items are desperately needed:
Bibles
Childrens books
Small baby and toddler toys
Infant to teenage sized clothes
Diapers
Baby wipes
Bar soap
African American hair and skin care products
Toothpaste
Toothbrushs
Any other toiletries
Home Depot or Lowes gift cards-for tools to remove trees and debris
Flashlights
Any size batteries
First aid supplies
If you wish to donate money please make your check payable to Northwest Community Church and they will send you a donation receipt.
Do not send food items, aerosol cans, dressy clothes or dressy shoes.
If you would like to help in any of these ways, please bring your contributions to my house by Saturday morning (September 10th) so I can get them to Jennie in time for shipment. I can be reached at 975-9559 if you have any questions.
