The last 36 hours have really sucked and I'm feeling kind of blue. The details don't really matter. What matters is that I spent most of the night with God wrestling with Him and trying to understand what is going on. He has clearly reminded me that I can't expect anyone to rescue me from this except Him so now I'm sitting and waiting which a place I don't like.

Hmmm, sorry about that. I have just prayed that God send his form of rescue/comfort. If the pattern of late seems to hold, it may not be immediate, but it will probably be miraculous and may even seem a bit on the goofily unexpected/ironic side...
I have been thinking the last couple of days of the scene from Tom Hanks' "Castaway" film where the tide, many months later, brings in wreckage from his plane (I believe it was the bathroom compartment of the plane), and he uses it to jerryrig an escape vessel.
I'm praying it won't take months, though :-)

I'm in agreement with our sister, Karen - God'll answer, and probably not in the way you're anticipating. In the meantime, while you wait, maybe some time of focused meditation (taking thoughts captive) on Phillipians 4:8/whatever is true, noble, pure, lovely - in your life - set your mind on those and He'll work out the other behind the scenes while you rest in His peace.

Subject: Relief

Just thought I'd share God's answer to prayer. My funk lasted for three days and I used those hours to silently wait for His voice and examine my heart. Peace finally came when I was willing to go to a person I love, step out in vulnerbility and admit my sin as well as share how their sin had impacted me. Fear of being exposed and honest seems to be a funk inducer in my life. Anyway, when I was ready to truly trust that God is GOOD and was all I really needed He provided the courage, love and peace to walk into a very scary place. Praise His Name!!!!!!!
