Subject: Eric, Eric! He's our man!

I have been viewing Villagersonline since I moved to St. Louis 2.5 years ago. The connection that I feel with the people in the Village has never left..I miss it terribly. I recently visited the Seneca House Thanksgiving week. The people I met and saw again were just as I remembered: genuine people. I have never has such genuine friendships as I have with the Village. But after all the fun and commotion of Thanksgiving (peeling slicing and coring, right guys?) Eric and Sue had some real conversations with me. You see, I have had, for lack of better words, much distortion in my life since I was young. That distortion is Satan, and he's been telling me lies I have chosen to believe for far too long. But Eric, with the support of Sue, helped me see things I nver saw before...my eyes were literally opened, just as I had prayed and asked God to do before I left to visit. But that is not the first time Eric has been there for me. When I lived in Tucson, he was there, when I needed him. He has such an awesome and down to earth way of explaining Christ's love to others. It would never occur to me to not call him my pastor. When I read his 'Life Sucks' blog, I felt much pain for him; I hate to see people who are so important to me to be in pain. It is my hope that I can support Eric and his ministry as much as possible so that he does not become overcome with discouragement. I want to be like one of the persons who held up Moses' arms during the battle with the Amalekites (Kevin's blog) for Eric and Rod. Eric truly has a God given gift. I love you Eric; you are a true shepard and friend.
